yesterday after 4 hours of morning lessons i decided to buy myself new flats because jubsy very nicely commented that my current flats are so tattered they look like "monk shoes". i've been wanting to get new ones for quite some time now but i couldn't find any reasonably priced ones that i liked enough.
total damage to my wallet yesterday totaled TWO HUNDRED AND NINETEEN SGD. (the flats alone did not cost 219. not that mad please) and i shopped alone. from now on, i can only shop with others. having friends who can shop with frugality and exercise reason around me will hinder my buying process, right? when i shop alone, i make decisions very very quickly. like i don't even have to think for long if i really like that particular item. because i reason it out in my head "hello how often dyou see something you like so much? nevermind the price tag" and this goes on until i do a quick mental calculation of my expenses and my heart sinks/ plunges.
but i finally got the flats i've been wanting a loooooooong time from tangs studio. pity the price didn't drop from when i first saw it a year ago. i will not step into tangs for 2 months, starting today, lest i see some discounted footwear shit which will infuriate me.
