during sem, i think jubsy (jubs talking about you worzxzxz hehe) and i spent so much time together that during holidays, it felt weird to not have someone i could rely on, see 3-4 times a week and confess my deepest crimes to. it's been 10 years, and i'm glad that we can still find a connection, that we think alike, and that we accept each other for who we are (most of the time, hah).
i constantly wonder what it would've been like if i had chosen to study vet science in australia, and this will probably be one of the things which will forever linger at the recesses of my mind, haunting me whenever i question the choices i've made in life. also, it taught me what seizing the moment really meant. back then, i was too young, too silly, too afraid of everything. i pulled out of the application at the very last moment, and so, the biggest what if in my life was conceived. funny how i was so certain of the decision i made then, almost to the point of conviction, only to question it incessantly now. just a few weeks ago, i told someone i really really want to hop on a plane and study there. but the moment has passed me by.
then again, if i hadn't gone to NBS, i would've never reunited with my p4 bestie. and life would've been so much duller. how often do you find somebody you can talk to, who won't judge you or doubt your (non academic) decisions?
just being with someone you trust, who listens to your worries and stories, and sharing everything that's on your mind is in itself one of the things that i will be eternally grateful for, and will always treasure.
